LazyTown, or 'Latibær' as known to its native Iceland, is possibly the most incredible phenomenon to come down the pike since The British Invasion.
This television show brings a much needed 'breath of fresh air' to its viewers. LazyTown reaches audiences all across the board, from toddlers to collegers and beyond. It's lurid, high-tech, and futuristic vision enlightens youngsters all over the world.
The main attraction of the show should be attributed to creator, Magnús Scheving (Sportacus), a marketing genius who originated the idea for LazyTown in the early 90's.
Initially, LazyTown started with a bestselling book that Magnús wrote called, "Go, Go, LazyTown!". From there, it metamorphed into two Icelandic theatre plays (see Latibaer page).
Finally, in the year 2004, the idea bloomed into a made-for-TV series with new actors and a salient blend of 'green-screen', CGI graphics, plus puppetry.
The show is also known for its positive messages, promoting concepts such as eating right, exercising, getting proper sleep, as well as many lessons having to do with good hygiene and how to more appropriately treat others.
LazyTown airs on many television stations worldwide, and continues to marvel audiences everywhere!
